‘It's Devastating:' First-Ever November Tornadoes Leave LI Families Floundering | News 4 Now


Some four tornadoes touched down on Long Island Saturday in a first for Nassau and Suffolk counties, which have no records of a tornado striking in November.

The National Weather Service confirmed a total of seven, rare November tornadoes struck the northeast over the weekend; the others were in Connecticut.

No deaths or injuries were reported but the region saw widespread damage to property as well as power outages from winds that reached up to 110 mph.
